Anna Bajerowska, PhD
Student Growth Manager
Assistant professor at the Institute of Specialised and Intercultural Communication, University of Warsaw. She graduated in Translation Studies from the University of Warsaw and in Conference Interpreting from the University of Mainz, Germany. She obtained her PhD from the University of Warsaw, under Prof. Sambor Grucza. Her academic interests include: transdisciplinary approach to modelling complex linguistic problems, cognitive semantics, conceptual blending in specialised discourses, anthropocentric linguistics, metalinguistics, theory of knowledge and philosophy of science. FACULTY
Adam Balcerzak, MSc
IT engineer, a graduate of the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz. The lead IT specialist at the Laboratory of Media Studies at the University of Warsaw, but also the owner of a web-fabryka.com interactive agency. His main research interests are biometrics and topics related to servers, in particular virtualization. It follows with interest the market and the development of new technologies, as well as the way they are used in the everyday life of the media, companies and ordinary people.
Paweł Banaś, PhD
He was awarded PhD by the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Law and Administration. He works currently at the University of Warsaw, Law and Administration Faculty. He is also a member of the Jagiellonian Center for Law, Laguage and Philosophy. He teaches regularly at the Department of Philosophy and Bioethics (Jagiellonian University Medical College). He graduated with master degrees in law, philosophy and psychology. He also studied general linguistics. His main research interests include philosophy of law, philosophy of language, social ontology as well as law&psychology. Outside academia he offers legal counsel to an adoption center.

Gaston Becerra, PhD
Assistant Professor in the Social Sciences Faculty at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina), and an assistant researcher at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council, Argentina). He holds a doctorate in philosophy and a bachelor’s degree in sociology, both from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a master’s degree in epistemology and history of sciences from the Universidad de Tres de Febrero. His research focuses on big data, both as a social-technological complex phenomenon, and as a methodological and epistemological challenge for social sciences.

English Language Proficiency Expert for Aeronautical Communication (Eurocontrol). Head of Aviation Communication Research Centre at University of Warsaw. She received her Ph.D. in languages for specific purposes from University of Warsaw in 2008. Her habilitation (2018) was based on the Aeronautical English research. In the years 2013-2015 she was given a position of a seconded national expert at the European Commission in Luxembourg where she mainly worked on civil aviation terminology projects and legal texts translations. Currently, she cooperates with AEPS in Belgium and France on Aviation English testing. Her research focuses on languages for specific purposes.

Professor of law at theInstitute of Legal Studies, University of Zielona Gora, Poland. She received her MA degree and her PhD degrees in Law at the University of Szczecin, Poland. Her research focuses on the international courts jurisprudence and its influence on public international law. Passionate about International Court of Justice (Hague) and its importance for the development of public international law. President of the trade unions at the University of Zielona Góra, is committed to employee rights and the ways in which trade unions influence the legal culture in workplaces.
Lawyer, received a PhD degree in law in 2022 the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (dissertation topic: Linguistic justification of dynamic legal interpretation). Since 2022 an employee of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights. His research interests include: legal communication, legal interpretation, philosophy of language, social and political philosophy.

Assistant professor at the Institute of Specialised and Intercultural Communication at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, University of Warsaw. He received his PhD in applied linguistics at the same faculty in 2020. His current research focuses mostly on video game localization and translator training. Economist, obtained a PhD degree in economics at the Warsaw School of Economics at the Collegium of World Economy, where she conducted research on the innovation policy. Since 2004, she has been professionally associated with the relevant ministries for economic affairs, where as a Director of the Department of Innovation and Industrial Policy was responsible for innovation and industrial policy, digital and green transformation of industry and international cooperation with the EU, OECD and UN. At present, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation (ILOT), one of the largest research institutes of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. In ILOT, she is responsible for the development of international cooperation in aerospace sector.

A graduate of the Institute of Journalism of the University of Warsaw, specializing in Media Marketing and PR and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Warsaw (Statistical methods in business). Author of the blogs gry-szkoleniowe.blogspot.com, przedwyruszeniem.blogspot.com and the book published in 2013 and awarded by PTTB „Gry Szkoleniowe. Practical Guide”. His research interests include the study of games (digital and analog), gamers and their communities, the use of narrative in games, and gamification.
I represent and advise clients on issues related to the protection of intellectual property. My practice focuses on brand protection, including the registration of trademarks and combatting unfair competition. I also advise clients on the protection of technological solutions and legal aspects of commercialization. I have expertise and know-how related to software licensing issues and I also represent clients before common courts, administrative courts, arbitration courts and the EUIPO. I am arbiter of the Court of Arbitration in Matters Concerning Internet Domain Names at the
Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

For many years, she has cooperated in the area of language support with large international corporations. Prof. Maria Cristina Paganoni, PhD
Associate Professor of English Language and Translation at the University of Milan. Her research approach falls within the methodological frameworks of Discourse Analysis and social semiotics and is enriched with critical insights from social sciences. Her interests address the linguistic and discursive configurations of a wide range of societal issues, with a critical focus on how they are represented and circulated by the media and the social web.
