„Legal Communication for Translators and Interpreters” in China

In July 2019, Prof. Joanna Osiejewicz conducted a 32 h course on „Legal Communication for Translators and Interpreters” at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing. The course was a part of the International Courses Summer Semester 2019 and it combined legal and linguistic expertise. The participating students represented law, language (English or German) and translation in law.

CUPL is well known for legal academics and also enjoys a distinguished reputation in arts, history, philosophy, economics, management, and education. Over the past 60 years, CUPL has educated and trained more that 200.000 graduates, and has played an active role in key legislative efforts in China.
The stay in Beijing was a very valuable and exciting occurrence.
